Welcome to the Blog!

Well here we are. Starting off a new thing! And I mean that in more than one way. We are starting off a new adventure in Kenya with me as the Director/President of Discipleship College and Tanya as the school's Accountant and Registrar. It is a new place to live. A new position to learn, grow in, and accomplish fresh things. A new life without the kids at home and very far away. A new environment filled with exciting things (at least for us; I guess if you grew up in Africa the monkey family on the side of the road going to the airport yesterday would be normal and blah). And countless other "new's" regarding our life now.


However, this is also a new thing for me - blogging. In fact, I haven't even been a very active Facebooker in the past. (I have recently stepped that up a bit since I know some of my "friends" are wanting updates on our life here.) I am not sure where this will take me/us in the future. I plan to use this blog to update those with interest in our ministry here in Kenya (both personal and the school's). I also envision this being a forum for sharing some ideas and thoughts regarding some theology, philosophy, and history I am working on and through. Perhaps not the most radical stuff , but at least some interesting things to me.




So, here we go! Let the journey begin!
